fast twist 20 cal barrels

G'day all, from Down under.
First off, thanks to the moderator,s) for this site; damn interesting stuff, all of it.
Now to the crux of the matter.
I'm one of several Aussies thinking, very hard!) about something like a 20BR set up for Berger's proposed 55 grainers, or alternatively the Gunhaus' 60's.
Who, if any of the barrel makers is producing,or planning on producing) a 1:8" twist barrel to suit?
I know of one definite gun nut apart from myself who'd love to know!
cheers, and stay safe,
ol' wooby

Woob...what are you doing?
Just get Shane to make you a 6BR. You'll love it....you know you want to!!

Cheers mate,:thumb:

Thanks, dave; you are a sadist,i'm going broke real quick on the various builds I have running; and I'm a bloody masochist; I keep doing it to myself!)
Thanks, mate!
Cheers,
ol' wooby

Bartlein will build you whatever twist you want to 4 decimal places from memory. Not expensive either, I have just had two 1 in 9s for the Berger 50 grain, delivery about 6 months.

Berger have yet to formally say what twist will best suit the 55 gr but suspect that it will around 8.5.

Thanks, Alycidon; the news is getting better and better.
I'll spread the word among the other blokes down here asking/thinking about this.
Cheers,
ol' wooby

Many thanks to you to, Obtunded; It's all very much appreciated.
The only shame of the whole situation in living downunder where getting stuff like barrels out of the good ol' US of A is a pain in the you know what...
By the way, happy 4th of July to you all.
Cheers,
ol' wooby

Hey ol' wooby, Thanks for the July 4th wishes. You great Australians deserve better. The thought of a Krieger fast .204 ruger barrel makes me want to spend money. That would be a lot of money for me, I hate to think of what it would be for you all.

Have a great one.

My fantasy,?) is either a 20BR or a 20.250 running either the Berger 50's or 55's, or The Gunhaus' 60's.
Nothing under 50 to 60 lbs weight within a quarter mile or more would be safe...
cheers again,
ol' wooby
