N135 in a 20 BR

I have a 20 br barrel coming for my Searcy action gun. It is a 9 twist Lilja. I have a load of Berger's 50 gr ready to load. Has anyone tried N135 in the 20 BR. It's at the burn rate of other powders listed, and I have a lot of it and Varget.What is the best load for the 20BR. What primers work best.

Hopefully it will answer some of your questions. Varget should work well, but I don't know about N-135. Not that it won't work well, I'm just not aware of any data for 20 BR. As for primers, each rifle, powder, bullet combo may prefer something different. I like to use CCI BR4 or Remingtons 7 1/2. They seem to be strong and very consistant, which is always good.

The old .20BR article "One Hot Express" by Dave Kidd mentions 31.5 gr. of N135 with a 36 gr. bullet giving him 4,119 fps. You may want to use something a tad slower for the 50s but I am sure N135 will work fine if that is what you have. N133 is my favorite powder with the 40s in the .20BR.

I have N135, Varget, N540, that I will take to the range, with my loading gear, and just see where it goes. I Fed, CCI br, and 450 primers.
