Matt, I will do all your pockets, if you do my necks !I use a Dayton right angle gear motor with a rheostat. I can control speed to help with heat and finish. I just j old it with my hand, but I use three turners to take it off in steps. The last one has a new sharp cutter and only takes off .0002. I like turning brass, but hate doing pockets. Matt
fast and neck turning don't go in the same sentence.
heat is the enemy. slow and steady is your best method.
take your time and just do them in batches
get a carbide mandrel. might help
