F-T/R shooter LOU CASALE bests the entire field at the SIERRA CUP

I know there is already a sierra cup thread, but I felt this deserved more recognition.
Lou Casale of Team Indiana posted a 999-62x to beat the entire field of 77 shooters, be they
f-open, f-t/r, bench, or sling!!!
his 62 X's was the third highest of anyone. this match had top notch competition in every class.

I know Lou just a little bit from shooting some matches with him. He is too humble and kind to rub this in the face of us open guys. I don't know if I could do the same.

Lou congrats on some fine shooting! you are on a lot more "radar screens" now.

Joe,

Thank you for your kind words. Having shot some matches with you, I’m sure you would be just as humble and kind. Thanks again for your generous hospitality last weekend. The thing that is great about the shooting community is the great comraderary. I enjoyed shooting with Kevin, Danny, Norm, Tracy, and others on my target. We had a great time in the pits with Russell, Skip and Greg.

Some days you get the bull by the horns, and other days the bull gets you. Greg and Ryan were right on my tail, and shot a great match as well. They certainly had me “checking six” often!

I have to thank my Indiana team mates, both Open and FTR. I was in a slump last year, and Mike and Matt kept encouraging me. We keep pushing each other to get better. To my good friends Todd and Dwayne who kept working with me on technique and wind reading skills, thank you, it finally paid off.

It was a great match with great people and I look forward to next year. See you on the range.

Lou

wow! nice job Lou

I count 15 open and bench shooters between Lou and 2nd ftr. Doesn't sound like it was just a matter of conditions that put ftr on level terms.

Outstanding!

I think this was the most exciting outcome I’ve ever seen at a match. Ftr will definitely be changed by this , hang on to your hats!

And the fact that this backed up an incredible performance at a long range regional the week prior shows how good he really is. Great job Lou!!

Would you mind posting your equipment? I assume you're shooting 308?

Lou,
We are all glad to see it came together for you my friend. You put in a lot of hard work and time. I know I speak for Team Indiana when I can say we shared your pain and now we are just as glad you kicked our butts and can share your smiles! Damn Lou, that was some outstanding shooting. Keep it up!
Dwayne

Congrats!!! And thank you for shooting down that whole "if you don't shoot what so and so top guy shoots it is impossible to be competitive and you might as well not even show up" montra that seems to repeat like a broken record in the shooting world.
