Dude, you are so far wrong. In 2006 the Nationals were held at Oak Ridge, we have 25 shooting points, and I don't think the range was stressed. Last yr we shot at Camp Perry for the first time, and at the Nationals at Raton we had just over 200 shooters. This yr we've already got 360+ registered and the registration cutoff is in a week for a match in 2 months. F class may well be the fastest growing NRA sanctioned shooting class.
and, nobody I know anywhere in the US is shooting a 223 in long range F-TR, at least nobody at the top of the game. I shoot with a sling and Irons shooter who has done very well with one, and I have a 223 for my 600 yard gun, but at 1000 nobody is using it.

If you have never shot with a sling and I know that many F/Class shooters haven't, make a statement about the easy target. Wanna shoot a hard target , how about the 10 meter air rifle target, or the 200 yard Schutzen target with a .22, or the 300 Meter target. Now those are some hard targets. The F/Class target isn't all that hard. What makes it hard is what is between your ears!
