that is probably one of the most important answers or comments in the last year or so, please re-read it again.

some stocks will never track straight for short or long range benchrest competition or plinking, if they do not once you know how to set up a rear bag, SELL THEM and get another,

I went through 6 stocks before a couple of friends and I designed the J T R benchrest stock made by Robertson composites and once I got the edgewood bag working perfectly (had to buy 4 of them to get the proper width between the ears) even though we are talking 20 thousandths of an inch on the ear width, I could send 4 of the 5 shots for a short range benchrest group downrange without touching the joystick and the new owner loves it once he was shown how to set it up properly, that with a stock with a angle taper pattern behind the trigger guard as all short range BR stocks must,

if a stock is straight and tracks well it makes the task of shooting so much easier than fighting the bags or stock every group,
