F-Open stock

Hi fellow shooters,
Have any of you used either the Stiller FX or the Ballard lowboy stock for an F/O build and if so what were your likes or dislikes. Thanks for any input.

I have shot both. They are both great stocks. Unless they have changed the mold the FX stocks forend is a little wide. That is easy to fix with a little wet sanding but its something you should know. The Lowboy might be a little cheaper depending on who you have finish it and what they charge. Can you even get a FX right now? I know in the past availability has been tough. Ray at Precision Rifle and Tool can usually get you a low boy pretty quick. Either stock will work great it just depends on what you want and what your gunsmith is willing to work on. Well, I haven't shot one but those Stiller FXs are Sexy...

Darin, I'm pretty sure the Stiller FX is made by Robertson for Stiller. The Stiller F class is another great one, also built by the fine folks at Robertson.

Guys, can you tell me how many inches long is the stock? counts from the butt to the foreend tip?

Q #2: Where is the balance point/position (normally) of your stocked rifle with scope? Around two - three inches in front of the receiver?

Thanks & Best Regards,
seb.
