Very Lite touch to very hard touch on my 338 Lapua AI is .110
Tried .030 in to .080 off. .010 off works best.

That light touch you feel in more than likely start of (tight) freebore. No way you can engrave bullet 0.110” by just pushing on the bullet.
I have tried it couple times, when I actually touch the rifling, max I have been able to push the bullet further (to the point where my rod used for pushing the bullet started to flex) was 0.005”.

As shooters ; are we ever going to come to the realization that there is no fast , hard , "Only ONE WAY" is the RIGHT WAY ? And then figure out that we are all searching for the "BEST" way , that our CURRENT barrel likes best ?
