105 hybrids for 6br. In or off the lands?

I would give RL-15 and H4895 a try,i found those the best. Varget is every where lot to lot.........jim

My BRX likes them .020 of the lands using Varget and Wolf SRM primers. My BR doesn't like them at all . It will put 4 through a bug hole and send the 5th round in whatever direction it wants reguardless ofy bullet length. I switched to 107 MK's and the BRX shoots one hole groups at .015 off and the BR shoots -.5" groups .010 off. Oh did I mention the Sierra's are 10 bucks per box cheaper. After shooting Berger's exclusively for 3 yrs, I've switched to Sierra.

These bullets shoot extremely well for me... RL-15 and bullets 5-10 thou off the lands. MV ~ 2900fps

30.5 RL15 @ .025" off the lands in a 28" Criterion here.

Mine loves .020 jump with RL15. I have jammed them before with good results. That's the great thing about the hybrids, there really not that sensitive to seating depth.

In my experience shooting them in two 6BRX's last year at 1K they would shoot reasonably well anywhere you put them but to really get a tune on them they were picky to the .001, one of mine liked it .008 off and the other .012 ,...I shot Varget and 450's but I think you would be better off as Jim said with 4895 or RL-15, I hate 15 because it's so dirty but there has been a lot of matches won with it.

In F-Class I shot 105 hybrids in my BRX .020 jumped all last summer and it was an absolute hammer.

Before a regional in Sept I experimented with depth for fine tuning and ended up .020 jammed. I was surprised. Shot 200-18X @ 500 yds 4 times in a row that weekend.

My Viper SS 6BR shoots Hybrids best with a .015" jump. Velocity is 2940-2950 from a 30" Bartlein 5R with H4895 and Fed 205M. That load has won a few F-Class and a Varmint Silhouette match for me.

Wayne, I went from a .060 jump too .015 in and found a window of .004 in from .008- .012 in,shot in the zero's at 100 yds. and i shot that all year out of both barrels.... jim

Jim,
I totally believe that, I don't think I will use the hybrids this year but I had my best year to date with them last year and I may end up going back to them, I think what helped me the most with them last year was your and Donovans advice on measuring them, once I sorted through the Hybrids my vertical dropped in half.
