F-Class: Share the Love...

Nodak7mm

Team Lefse
I have been contacted off-line several times by folks, asking if I know of someone in a certain area or at a certain range willing to help out a new person get started in F-class or shoot their first F-class match.

I’d like to put together a list of names of willing and able folks that are “willing” to be a “Point of Contact” (POC) or a “Mentor” to wanna-be F-Class shooters in their area.

The concern some may have is “Privacy” and I think that I can alleviate anyone’s concern be “me” being the sole “Keeper of the Contact Information”. It would not be shared publically, it would not be posted and I would only share info if asked, through the PM function on this board. Or please feel free to list your name here in this thread with contact info..

I would hope more than just a few, would stand up and volunteer to be a “Mentor”, it is rewarding. I got three folks going this yr and I am having a blast…

All it takes, “Sure, I’ll meet ya at the range.”..

Think about it. Contact me if you'd like to step up to the task..

Re: F-Class: Share the fun...

Having been the guy here in MN for 6 years, you know you can count on me!

this is a great idea. I've wanted to try out F-class (once my rifle is done) but had no clue where to turn

I shoot F-TR at ORSA in Oak Ridge. Nasty fall and a broken leg have me OOC for the next 30 days or so but after that I'm happy to help.

Hate to hear that XTR! Hope you get well soon and are back to shooting soon. Great bunch of guys up at ORSA, and a Gorgeous Range. I will be returning in the future!

Rod you can count me in. I don't know how much help I would be mentoring, but helping someone understand the ropes and how to score, where to go what to do, how to get started I'm glad to do it! Some had to take the time to teach me and I'm more than happy to give back what I can when I can!

I am still new, but I would love to help someone in North Mississippi or someone wanting to shoot at MSSA in Memphis for the first time. IT can be daunting joining a new group of shooters!

I have an active F Class group at Bridgeville, DE (600 yards). Happy to work with new shooters and provide range opportunity for experienced riflemen.

PM your email address and I will put you on our F Class mailing list for all practice times, matches, etc.

Awesome kudos out to the guys stepping up!! I gotta couple more via pm also.

I am in the same category as Deadlyswift and JPmidas, still new to the game as I am only in my 2nd year of competing. But your both right on the X-ring with your posts. Having just a little help and a point of contact that first couple of times helps out a newbie immensely.

I know that doing this will make me a better shooter, maybe not any more accurate than I am, but I am all for the betterment of this sport and getting others involved too.

Thanks guys for all that you do..

Rod

Now I should talk to the Forum Boss about getting some blank name tags with the heading of AccurateShooter.com across the top and then we can put our screen name below that. attach to our range box or whatever.

Kinda funny standing around and everybody kinda mills around lost till some one says aren't you Nodak7mm or Hey I am Effendude or Wow I know Deadlyswift and soon everybody knows everybody.. A good Ice Breaker..

Rod.

Looking to hook up 2 shooters in need of getting their feet wet or popping their cherry in F-Class.

One is located in the Pittsburg PA area and the other in Central Louisianna area.

Anyone out there near thse locations, please give a holler!

Thanks for your time..

DennisH is from Louisiana. I know several folks that shoot at Palo Alto. Not sure how close that is to the interested party, but I could get them connected to the right folks.

Justin Price is my name.

I live in northeastern Maryland/upper Chesapeake Bay area, and occasionally visit New Holland Rifle in Pa. or Bridgeville De. When schedule allows. I am also an enabler!

FWIW:

16 Mentors have stepped up and volunteered to help new shooters get started. I applaude you guys for taking that on, simply awesome!!

4 Mentee's have been hooked up (hopefully) and I am looking forwards to hearing some success stories in the future...

I am not sure if "Mentee" is even a word, sounds good tho... ;)
