F-Class Nationals Lodi, Wi

Trimming...Haven't gotten a mass trim set up yet. Wish I had one. I'm still manual hand crank But all done....maybe Santa will deliver one !!

Funny how your outlook on trimming changes when you get a giraud trimmer. Like, "I hope my cases grew enough to require trimming!"

I was wondering why you trimmed your cases shorter than I do. Lol
I guess I better get one, I'm still doing it with a Wilson and that crank knob will give you plenty of time to name your cases. Ha. I loaded a box early this morning just to shoot your match on Thursday !

I think you attributed the referred quote to me in error.

But to add fuel to the fire, after I fish out the annealed, resized, polished brass out of the media, I run every single piece through my Giraud trimmer. Very little metal gets removed but the mouth is chamfered and deburred perfectly each time and there is never a big jump in case length from one loading to the other. Consistency is key in case prep, from case to case and loading to loading. That is also why I anneal and F/L resize every time with a small base die.

I'm going on record to say you can all bite me.

I'll be dismantling and shipping a groundwater treatment facility while you are all shooting. :(

This yr has been a complete washout for me. Shot two matches all yr. I'm looking to February and Phoenix at this point.

Look at the bright side Wade, at least you're employed. I wish you could join us. I'll crack a cold one open in your honor at Lodi. See ya in feb.

I came back here to apologize for posting some bad information here a little while back. In an earlier post I said that with my Giraud trimmer I could trim, chamfer and deburr 100 cases in 10 minutes. That is totally wrong.

Today I was preparing 101 cases, my final batch for the Nationals. I pulled them out of the tumbling media and then I ran them all through the Giraud. Just to be sure, I started a timer.

At the end, I realized I had estimated the time all wrong.

It took 5 minutes 10 seconds to trim, chamfer and deburr all 101 cases. Sorry for saying it took 10 minutes. I was so wrong.

I'm thinking a Giraud trimmer is in my future !! I'd hate to see how long it took me with a Sinclair and hand crank , not timing that task !!

300 cases ready....just finished up a box and power went out :(
So...whenever it decides to come back on and wait for scale to warm up again I'll be back at work !!

I'm pacing myself Denys , 3.0693069 sec per case doesn't give you much time to name them. Lol. Ya I played with ammo this morning but 50 case prep or loading is more my speed. I don't crunch on ammo!

Got my deer stands ready this weekend so that doesn't turn into another crunch after the match. Life is good but I'm ready to get out of here and go shooting!! I hope those Wisconsin lake fish are biting!!

I always load in groups of 100, or at least prep in boxes of 100. The cases stay with the box until I dump them. I have been known to load and fire 20 or 30 at a time, but prep is always 100.

I just wanted to have all that I needed for Lodi. I will load this last batch next weekend and then I'm done.

100 cases left to load up !! I'll be done tonight or tomorrow night. Then I can relax a little and start getting the rest of the items needed in a centralized location for packing up.

Question...On Friday the 23rd is there going to a class before hand on the electronic targets? If so...what time?

Thanks again

There will be a meeting on the line before the match starts to get everyone familiarized with the operation of the electronic targets.Try to be ready on the line for practice a half hour before it starts. I will be there to help on the line along with a few others for the midrange match and the closer we get im thinking that helping out for midrange practice is a far better idea than going to work.

My Giraud trimmer should arrive via big brown truck tomorrow! Good bye Wilson hello Giraud.
