Would the Tikka T3x Varmint in 223 be good enough for 300 yard f class shooting ?
I am sure it would work just fine.. However, contrary to many opinions about 300 F-Class shooting as being "too easy", I believe it is very tough! It is NOT hard to score very well, BUT it is very difficult to win! Most of the 300 yard F-Class shooting I used to do, prior to moving to Arizona, would take a 600-HIGH FORTY to 50+ "X" count to win. If the wind kicked up pretty good, a 598 might win! I think it is NOT a matter of "too easy" so it's boring! I think that if the truth be told, most naysayers simply, for whatever reason, can not compete at that level of precision! That's just my opinion... So I think you could do well>>>but would you win, may or may not, be another story..Would the Tikka T3x Varmint in 223 be good enough for 300 yard f class shooting ?
This is the best part of it!It will be fun and great get together with fellow shooters.
That rifle should give you a great start in TR. When you wear out that barrel put another one on with a 7” twist and keep shooting it.The Tikka T3x varmint is a heavy barrel and it says on their web site that it will not heat up. I am guessing that is because it is a 223 and not a big bore. Right ?
Why do they guarantee one MOA accuracy @ 100 yards with 3 shot groups ? Why only 3 shot groups ?
I have a T-3 with a sporter Barrel that shoots a lot tighter than one minuteread their web site again and with the T3x varmint they guarantee 5 shot groups one MOA at 100 yards.
