Extreme PTG Long Action (LA) Blueprint Action Combo - Bolt, FP Assy

I cancelled and was told by Steve that my credit card would be credited. He said that if he didn't get to it Mon. (last Mon) then he would surely do it on Tues. As of today my account still hasn't been credited. There could be credit card delays in there but if my money doesn't show up by early this week there will be more contacts made.

It seems to be smooth. I am no expert but they actually feel tighter than my factory actions. Like the tolerances are tighter with less slop. I don't know if that is possible, but it seems that way. Maybe its the PTG bolt? When I stroke the bolt I can feel the light friction all the way, like it is dragging. Should it be like that? Either way, i'm happy because it looks and functions exactly like the one I tried at the SHOT Show. I'll post more pics when I get the rifles put together.

UPDATE ON MY REFUND

Steve told me last Monday that he would refund my credit card either that day or the next (Tues). Just called PTG ......Now they're saying they'll send the refund today! I ain't happy!

For what its worth I ordered a bolt from them a one piece one with an m16 extractor, spiral fluted kinda spendy it took 6 weeks to arrive. I thought it would take a lot longer. Bolt is super smooth.

I did have questions about the bolt before I ordered it and as stated in previous posts Customer Service is hit or miss. I was shuffled around until I could speak to one with a little bit of knowledge.

I get that you cant have 20 Mr. Kiffs answering the phones but a little product knowledge is better than none lol.

I spoke to a lady about the actions and I said if they had any cancelled orders for Actions that were ready to ship I would take one no matter the configuration. She said the actions do not ship from where she was at so she could not help me with that specific request????? Maybe just a lady that was overly honest or just unsure of my question but she was very polite.

I hear people say welcome to the shooting world where if you hear 12 week wait be prepared to wait 24 weeks and don't whine about it....If its gonna take a year to get an action just let the customer know so we can move on or digin for the wait, the worst part is waiting all that time and then cancelling the order prolonging the build even more.....

In my case I saw it different, I placed my order on December and never got mine was told I would have to wait on next batch of receivers from Remington but others who placed their orders on January had received theirs They made no effort to rectify the problem not even an explanation, except waiving the 20% restocking fee.

These seem to be a great deal also...its kindof a funny thing you know its hit or miss if you are going to get what you order but the prices are so good you just cant help but take a chance lol....

The idea of a full custom seems a better route especially for resale value and piece of mind when it comes to an honest wait time. I was going to order one of these in a couple weeks....not now...Ill keep ordering small parts from them though

Can you post a picture of the front of the receiver ring? PTG sells recoil lugs that are drilled with a pin hole and was wondering if the actions are drilled too.

I've been given the same run around multiple times. I try to be patient as they are a small company with many orders. Most frustrating of all is that their customer service is very disorganized and have very little product knowledge. They don't even follow up with you. I've done customer service in manufacturing before and this is not how it's supposed to be done.

If most had the slightest inclination how many pieces/parts D.Kiff-PT&G manufactures for the shooting sports,racing industry,aviation industry & waiting on some incompetent soles in Alabama to CNC a few receivers(Remington), life doesn't always turn out the way some prefer.

I won't spill all the beans!

Remington did not produce as promised.

I bought 2 trued Remington actions a couple years ago in a group buy on another website from a different company all together. Sounds like my experience was the same as you folks. Contacted them a couple of times and was always told that they were waiting on Remington. I was happy with the actions once I received them but it was a long wait
