Reading lot of information regarding temperature swings in this thread , and the one common denominator is that very little testing is done , by those who have tested , above 90 degrees . I do a lot of shooting in the summer months here in Arizona , and we try very hard to be done by 10;00-10:30 A.M. for a very simple reason . Ambient is normally around 105 to 110 by that time , out on the range . I shoot a lot of 7.62x54r with a 185 Berger Hybrid , down a 30" Kreiger . I normally shoot 40 - 60 rounds a session , when time permits , and I like my shoulder .
Summer load is : 51.5gr AA-4350
Non-Summer load : 53-54gr AA4350
I think what's being missed in this discussion is the "extreme" tag applies in conjunction with "Extreme" temperatures , which most never shoot in . Just my .02 ........
