extractor removal

OK I must be really dumb or too scared to break something but I need to know how to remove the sako extractor from my 40x bolt so I can clean it and deburr it. from the best I can tell it snaps in place but I be darn if it doesn't wanna unsnap out

It gets a little tricky, you need 3 hands. Seriously, I take a sharp pointy thing and insert it into the groove at the top backside of the extractor and push the retaining pin into its recess. Then insert a very small screwdriver under the extractor and lift it up and out.
Is that what is causing your brass to get marred?

The extractor has a sharp edge on the side that grips the case. I'm going to break the edge some so it's not so sharp.
Thanks for input on removing the extractor. That little sucker is a booger to remove.

If you have not removed the Sako extractor go to the Bat Machine website. They have a good video for removing and reinstalling the extractor.
