Extra barrel storage

I have a couple extra barrels and have been thinking of storing them in PVC plastic pipe. Oil them down good put caps on the end and label them. Should there be holes drilled in the pipe for air or is there a better way?

One of my friend's kids saves em and brings em to me. He seen a dessicant can in my safe and i explained what it did then somehow later on he put the 2 together- now he brings me big ziploc bags full and says he got me some more of those salt packets full of dessicant. I said one time you mean sugar packet? He said sugar is for eating these say do not eat! I guess its a small inside joke thats evolved

You can regenerate these salt/sugar packets by putting them in 200 degree oven for about an hour.
