Hello, as I understand it the DTAC 115 grain bullets in 243 and 243AI have wind advantages over the 6.5 x 284 and 142 grain Sierras. This being the case, I know these two 6mm cases have shorter throat life. I have heard and been told that using very slow powders and increased cleaning will extend these throats.
Does anybody have any concrete data to support this statement and exactly what powder and how precisely does the cleaning process have to be adapted so that the throats have a longer life? Actual data, as opposed to opinions, would be deeply appreciated in this matter.
Thank you,
Gene So
