Hi there,
I have a chance to go out with a buddy on Friday for some long range shooting. I have a new 6.5 Creedmoor gun that I'm getting solid .75 MOA groups out of at 100 yards but haven't had a chance to shoot it out longer yet. I'm going to get to the range but with the holiday this week (it's thanksgiving week) so I'd love your help! I am also new to 6.5 CM so that's why I ask. I normally shoot 308.
Elevation here is about 5000 feet, normally very dry but we have snowstorms for the next day or two. Unsure how much humidity affects it. Gun is a 22" proof barrel (amazing) and I have found the 140 Sierra bullets (via Winchester Match factory ammo) the best and notably better than anything Hornady at this time. I haven't been able to find much online about Winchester Match ammo and what it's loaded with and FPS info, yet. I plan to order about 1000 rounds then build my own ammo using these cases, I think.
This week, I'll be doing 300, 400, maybe 500 yards at most I think. I'm all ears on example info if you have it.
thank you!
