Erratic Savage

I have a re barreled Savage that will shoot two great groups and then go wild. It came with the Tupperware stock. I ordered a stock from Boyd's. If it ever comes,do you think it will solve my problem? .223 AI. Barrel does not get hot.

It's time to check everything to be sure nothing is loose. Unless the stock is touching the barrel it is not likely to cause this.

Check action screws , front one esp , make sure it doesn't bind bolt lug . Make sure the stock doesn't touch barrel . Clearance at bolt handle to stock , trig to stock and free float rear tang .
Of course use a scope known to be good and double check your rings and bases .

In the mean time, where are you placing your front bag on the stock? Perhaps the stock is warming a little and is not able to handle the bag position that you are using. For those sorts of stocks I like to have the back of the front bag no more than 3"" in front of the front of the action. Often I find that shooters have a fixed idea of how a rifle should look on the bags and if their rifle is such that that will not give the best results, they never think of experimenting to find what might work better. Another misconception that I run into quite often is that the lightest hold possible will produce the best results. Another thing worth checking is whether your front scope base screw is bottomed on the barrel threads. That can lead to erratic performance.

+1. Highly UNLIKELY another stock is going to correct the problem. In addition, make sure the crown is alright, which is another unlikely candidate but worth the check. Try and slide a dollar bill between the barrel and stock and that'll tell you there is contact between the stock and the barrel if the bill will not slide freely from the end of the stock to the end of the receiver.

I re torqued the action screws, 40 and 20 pounds. Nothing is touching. Took the scope off of one of my bench rest rifles.

After re torqueing I would have to say yes it is your stock and the new stock should be the fix. I have had to add epoxy filler to my Savage rimfire - 17hmr and 17wsm plastic stocks to get them stiffened up so they would shoot so I think you are on the right track.
