Ernie Fuhr F-Open interstate trophy

Starting this year at the Winnequah Gun Club in Lodi Wi we will be awarding another traveling trophy for the Gillespie Memorial Long Range Championship. It will be given to the non resident F-Open aggregate champion. As the title says it will be in memory of Ernie. This has been quite the process getting this made and it is not quite done yet but as soon as it is I will post pictures, this is a really nice trophy and the champion will not be disappointed having this on display!! Pictures to follow and we hope to see you there,

Excellent Idea!

Ernie was a fine man, 110% in support of our shooting pastimes. I'm glad to have been able to count him as a true friend in the few years after we'd met, most likely at Winnequah or maybe LaCrosse.

He will be missed on the range but not forgotten.

This is a great idea for a non resident trophy. Since I can't put my name on the Wi state champ one anymore, I'll have to come back and earn this one. Ernie was an interesting character.
 
Nice trophy. You don't have to worry about Scully this year. I'm not going to make it either. I would put my money on Snook. Those Mississippi boys can be tough though too!
 
I received the final scores. It appears to be Brian Bowling as the first recipient of the new trophy. Great shooting there Harry!
 
Looking for results...where can you find them? All I can find is the program. Nice shooting Brian; hope to see you in Minnesota for some of the upcoming matches.

What a absolute honor it is to be the first to have my name on this trophy!! Thank you Brian for taking the time to donate such a great trophy so that Out of state competitors can come have something to shoot for!
