ER SHAW barrels ?

So going to build a cheap AR15 for a fun fun with iron sights . And seen er Shaw 20 inch 1 in 9 barrels that come with a2 sight for 189$. ..has anyone used er Shaw barrels ? I'd think thay would shoot at least MOA at 100 and 200 Or better with reloads

I have a er shaw 24" varmint Savage drop in .223 bbl and it prints from .250"-.600" depending on my loads at 100 yds.
Its one of the "best buys" out there...got it from midwayusa.

Not bad.. I have a lot of precision rifles. It would be nice to have something with just irons on just to take out and have fun with. My wife isn't in to precision shooting .it would be fun for both of us. And she if familiar with the m16 being she is prior military

If I can make it shoot 1 1/2 groups with reloads it's good enough for its purpose

I have two Shaw AR barrels, a 16" and a 24" bull barrel varmint. They both shoot well under an inch, and the 24 is wicked on PD's out to 400-450

There my barrel of choice for my hard used prairie-dog rifle. Honest 3/4-MOA at 200yds from 2 that I've had.

What's the fastest twist you can get in a .223 barrel? Always wanted to try one.

I have a 26" SS 1-8" 6.5-06 on a Savage regular action. It shoots .5-.75 groups with several loads. Cleans up fairly easily also. Good barrel for the price for sure.

I'm starting to want to try one now.... There pretty cheap . $200 for 20 inch H-bar style . 1 in 7 twist and comes with A2 front sight and barrel nut I think... I will want a national match front post and rear aperture .standard sights are to dig for me to shoot decent groups. Although I don't want really small sights .so not sure what would be best . Any suggestions?

I have a 24" heavy bull on my 6.8 AR match gun and it's put me on the podium. Copper fouls pretty heavily, but it's only got about 750 rounds through it now.

As for a good hbar 223 barrel, a Wilson match hbar is only $220 and a proven performer from the local reduced course match to full XTC matches at Perry.

Try a Geen Mountain AR barrel they shoot great!

Years ago Green Mountain made some of the best muzzleloader barrels. Matt
