Just thought I would share my recent experience. I received a 6MMAI SS ER Shaw 1:10 twist 24in magnum contour,$245 delivered)for a Savage action with a barrel nut and the accutrigger set at 2 lbs,for hunting coyotes). I worked some loads with moly coated 87gr Vmaxs and RL17 and was able to get an avg velocity of 3600 fps with some pretty sweet groups and no signs of pressure. I put 9 shots in 0.4in @ 100 yards,that's 12 shots minus 3 flyers because of the moron behind the trigger). I am not a benchrest shooter, just want to do some coyote hunting....just think what RL17 could do with a 30in match barrel & one of those actions I can't afford!!
