Empty powder cans

I have a square metal Hercules 2400 can that is marked $3.04!
every time my father went to the gun shop he would look at the clearance rack and buy the cans of powder whether he used that type of powder or not I had 53 1 pound cans some with paper labels and a few with 79 cent price tags, I sold all of them to a collector. I have a few cans in perfect condition of Dupont black powder, full. looking for a home for those as I don't shoot black powder. I have 1 can of Dupont shotgun powder, paper label, and that is all it says no #'s or anything.

I have some empty imr 1# jugs that i need to do somthin with because i have a container fetish and cant stand to throw them away so what are some things or uses other shooterz use them for?
Or do i need to have an intervention and have fellow shooterz help throw containers away?
Fill them with water, use them for targets.

I'll pay the shipping, I could use a few.

Recently, I have had to deal with this type of clutter my father's stuff and a dear friend, both were Baby Boomers. It is a generational issue - pragmatic frugalness.

Everything was saved and reused if possible. Nails, staples, nuts, bolts, screws, containers of all sizes (pill bottles, juice bottles, plastic everything), glass jars, coffee cans., electrical wire, twine... I like finding a stash of the exact same container collected and saved over an extended period of time and being able to see the aging / decomposition process of the plastic... from new to yellow-brown and brittle. You all know what I am talking about... you are either this person or know one! I should have taken pictures :)

I spent a fair part of my childhood just trying to find and match enough nuts and bolts of same size to do a project. Ever needed 4 bolts and had to use hacksaw to cut a couple down to correct length?! Those are my earliest shop memories.

Honestly, I do miss the pipe tobacco cans, BUT everything else can go. In both my workshop and reloading I standardized my storage bins. In 20 years when they all simultaneously decay, I'll buy another set that will last the rest of my life. Oh the stories my kids will have about dad's insanity, "How about that crazy plastic bin collection that he had... really made it easy to carry out everything to the recycle bin?!" :)
