Eliseo F1 open chassis review

Looking to hear from F class shooters that have shot, handled, used this chassis system for f class competitions.

Or maybe said shooter decided to use this chassis for other disciplines.

thoughts?

I really like mine for F Class. I have 9 action/bbl. combinations that fit it. It's straight, comfy, and adjustable. And I really like pistol grips.

My regret is that I didn't buy it years ago.
Is there a list of actions that fit it, or dimensions known not to fit?

Gary Eliseo will make the vblock that chassis uses to fit whatever action you will be using.
The main consideration with this chassis is weight. It will depend on scope, barrel profile, barrel length and action weight.
My buddy uses this chassis with a savage target action but he is usually limited to a 30” straight 1.25” barrel due to weight.
It’s a nice chassis but I found it to have some sharp edges, not as comfortable to use as my wood, laminate or fiberglass stocks. Some seem to believe the aluminum chassis is too stiff and that the stock should have some flex. My buddies scores, accuracy and performance at 1000 yard fclass don’t seem to be limited by the chassis or it’s stiffness. I have not seen many on the firing line at big matches and I suspect due to weight.
The positive is that this chassis will not require the extra cost or time spent finding a gunsmith that will inlet, bed the action and finish the stock.

If I remember from last year, he made them for 700's, which I ordered. The bolt release for a Remington was too tight, and was milled slightly. No problem with a side release bolt. I've put 40x's, a Defiance, a Surgeon, and a Stiller rimfire in it. The trigger slot had to be milled for the trigger hanger on the Stiller, and a different front screw hole, but that's no fault of the stock.

I think he makes them for Barnards also, and I'm considering buying that stock.I like them.

He does make them for Barnard actions, I have one. I like Gary's stocks whether F-Class or others, they are comfortable for me to shoot.

This is a custom stock Gary designed for the .408 Colossus cartridge on a 2" action:

Note the reduction at the rear for the buttstock...;)

I have a single shot eliseo chassis, isnt a ton of difference. Weights the most noticable thing. Pistol grip takes a tad bit to learn. I really dont hold the grip much at all when I shoot. They are VERY solid and well built. He can do about anything... i had mine done for an xp100 action with a side bolt release.

Id buy another without thinking. Very adjustable. Id be thinking long and hard for f class between an eliso and a cerus stock.

Eliso is cheaper to build with in the end...

bodhisafa,

I don't have a phone for pictures, this is an F Class stock with a Stiller rimfire in it.

I have one of Gary's Universal Match Rifles chambered in 6XC and a set of Pickle Forks. Works great off a Seb Neo.
Just give Gary a call he is great to work with.

SAUM SAUCE, did you have a different butt stock made to accommodate the RAD? I have an F1 on order and asked about the RAD and was told it was not an option at this time.
Thank you,
DS

Gary will use any powder coat or cerakote colors that are available.

There's a link on his site to the color options.
