ELF Savage Trigger

On another thread I was having issues with the RB SavII trigger. I am not doubting the 4oz trigger, but does it trip off aka slam fire.
Taking the blade out of the accu trigger has been done by a fair amount of folks, I don’t agree with it.

Kinda like no brakes or chute on a drag car.

Actually had a gent tell me to put the safety on and that would fix it. A slight bump to the stock and it trips off, not what I would call fixed or safe. About as exciting as a bad N02 switch.
what's a safety

Dont forget, with a savage you only get 1/2 of a trigger system . The sear isn’t included, you still must use the factory sear . For instance a Remington trigger is an assembly that includes the sear , levers and the blade . Savage triggers are almost universally just the blade . The sear should be part of bench rest trigger assembly, even on a savage . Just my observation

I just installed a new ELF trigger in a Savage "target" action - very simple to install. I am a bit concerned how far the set screw has to be backed out of the trigger body to get close to 1.25#. I really am not confident it will stay there if I don't use some Loctite or fingernail polish. Has anyone had any experience with that setscrew backing out?
