Electronic Powder Dispenser

Looking to streamline my Pistol reloading (many diff calibers) I currently hand load for each for playing with longer shooting. For range shooting I use Progressive press with range pick up brass (separated by manufacture). I searched throught the older posts and would like the latest information before I "buy once cry once". Thanks all.

Have you weighed charges dispensed by your progressive press powder measure? My Dillon is typically that consistent with pistol powders…
yes , same here. my thought was longer ranges would start with better cases and paying attention to powder charges.

I've found the Dillon 550 dispenses pistol powders capable of +/-0.1 gr. or even better if tuned and with fine powders. Biggest improvements came from consistent case overall length, weight, brand, flashhole, primer pocket and hand setting the primers. Improvements measured in both rifle and pistols accuracy and precision.

Edit to add: Consistent crimp matters as well.

I've used PACT scales for over 15 years, an A&D FXi with dispenser and trickler for five. The A&D was better in both consistency and precision than the PACT or Dillon, but not enough to matter when loading up 500+ pistol caliber rounds at a time. We could get 3" groups at 100 using a 5" .45 with a rest, no matter what dispenser was used.

Thank you DocBill , I plan to start with starline brass for my other than range rounds.

This. I have the same type setup (auto trickler and 550) and totally agree.

The RCBS Link can be operated with your cell phone. It works and is also easy to use without the phone. The best thing about the link is it does not need any modification to meter well.
