Electric cart vs Gas powered cart?

I'd say figure out what conditions and terrain you'll need to use them in. Electrics do not compete with gas powered machines in rugged off road terrain or muddy bad scenarios. There's a reason Lee and Tiffany dropped Bad Boy Buddy's and now use Polaris SxS's. I watched them get stuck in mudholes in their Bad Boy buggy and wasn't long before they were sponsoring Polaris. It's not a coincidence.
There could be a million business reasons other than the vehicle itself that they switched vehicles/sponsors. But sound is less critical when deer are acustomed to it. I have actually seem sound increase deer movement when it becomes routine. The area we hunt is heavily wooded with train Tracks and gravel roads. When either a train or a school bus would go by tbe deer would come out from everywhere.
John Dudley asked lee about movement and noise ect before amd during hunting season Lee told John that he drives through his property as often as possible meaning every day if he can on the side by side just to get the deer accustomed to it

I agree! Polaris makes snow mobiles? right?---Ive had 3 polaris buggies and if it gets below freezing ALL of them were very hard to start!!!!! go figure...I wonder how in creation they get one to start where it is really cold???...
My dads sportmam 850 atv is horrible to start in the cold. When i take it ice fishing in the winter I load it on the trailer and leave it running till i get to the lake. Carburetors worked just fine but their efi does not work very well in the winter for some reason. They are based outbof northern MN, but they outsource most fuel and spark mapping. If you want to have it reprogrammed for better performance amd drive ability send me a pm.

I think regardless of noise, the deer know your presence in and out on anything especially if it's a regular thing. Sure a gas engine makes noise and an electric does not but regardless of the unit, deer know we go in and out. They IMO also know a hunter from a farmer. Just as deer know loggers from hunters in the UP.

EFIs have been better than any carb engine quad I've ever owned. Snowmobiles as well. Guess everyone's experience is different. Sure wouldn't want to rely on batteries in sub zero temps without a charger along. I have had batteries not turn over on both in those temps.

To be clear, on my efi vs carbs I was speaking specifically of Polaris. Can am/brp has efi figured out well as does the rest of the industry from what I have seen, but polaris just doesn’t seem to get it, bit the older carbed sportmans and rangers semed to be a decent machine. If you have owned different models or years than my dad and I you very well may have a different experience, my brother ha san 850 sportsman that is a different year amd his is much better than dads in many respcts. My other beef with modern atvs and side by sides is that the batteries are way, way to small on most of them to crank them over reliably in the cold.

Well my carb quads once choked run just fine in sub zero. Let them run a few minutes and your off. Same with my current EFIs. I also have a Sportsman 850 XP and Ranger 900 XP both EFI. Never one issue in sub zero temps on the ice when ice fishing. Actually never heard of anyone with a problem till reading this post. Don't play the lottery.
