Ya', OK,,,, buy there some who can only do one! Some will have the barrel dialed-in in 10 minutes, some will need an hour. Some use a flush system and can run higher RPM without doing damage to the tool, some will peck away at it .050" at a peck. So, OK where's the "average". There are probably about as many ways that take varying amounts of time as there are people doing it. You've got some who've made their living machining for 20-40yrs., and guys who've never been around machine tools. Some are hobbiests some are professionals . Suppose there's a difference in how long it takes one or the other to set-up and chamber a barrel? Your probably not doing it wrong , you're just trying to be a smart a$$.
