Electric cars eating our copper!

Our copper buyer says it's from mines in Peru and Chile being backed up from covid deaths. They can't run full shifts 24hours like normal. . Distributors being limited to previous sales, to prevent shortages/hoarding .

Because electric vehicles do not require gasoline to operate, they do not contribute to the upkeep of highways through a gas tax. Many states face declining gas tax revenue—not only because of electric vehicles—forcing state policymakers to consider other ways to pay for the nation's transportation infrastructure.

Buyers of electric vehicles would be required to pay an extra registration fee of $200 and an additional $200 renewal fee each year if the Texas Legislature approves a bill filed this week.

There is certainly going to be inflation in everything we use need or desire after the
free spending Goverment get done.....hope the hell we survive.
Yea the electric world is coming in a hurry too...

How many of you guys fish? You heard that Evinrude outboards has stopped production of new engines back in June of 2020 right, know why? By the year 2025 they will be full bore producing all electric outboard motors, that's right electric outboards!.... Think Tesla outboard motors, hah! I have been a Johnson/Evinrude master tech for almost 40 years and I don't see this working out well....

Just as it should be. Call it what it is, a user fee, and base it on gross vehicle weight, how it's being done here.

Really hoping precious metals do well. I bought them to retain wealth not necessarily make more wealth. But, if it moons, I wont complain.

In Alabama as of Jan 2020, each year there is a "FEE" of $100 for hybrids, and $200 for plug in electric.

Currently everything is up in price thanks to our make believe government. It's like Bill Clinton quipped in 92 "everything that's supposed to be up is down and everything that's supposed to be down is up". It was sort or a joke back then. Not so much now.

Here in Texas we couldn't produce enough electricity to light our homes during the cold snap last winter much less power electric vehicles. If the leftists get their way we'll all be riding bicycles anyway and in our state that'll be morbidly funny.

As long as there's enough copper to make bullet jackets, we're good.
