ejectors on my bolt rifle

??? I have a couple of tube guns that I just use for mid range shooting. Is it possible to remove the ejector spring from the bolt? I dont want my brass spread all over the ground. I will take it to a smith if it could be done.

Ejectors can be removed. This leaves a hole in the bolt face.

I highly recomend you have a plug made for the ejector hole.

If not you are subject to having brass flow and shaving with high pressure loads.

Guy's it is possible to cut a coil or two off of the ejector spring and then your brass will be in a neat pile close at hand. I have personally had several done this way and it sure works real well.

John,

I remove the ejectors from my bolts and replace them with the shank of a ground off drill bit. You can purchase a letter or number drill bit that will fit the hole. A drop or two of locktite will keep in in place. A heat gun will allow you to remove it at a later date if you need to.

You can cut the spring to just flip the case out, as already stated, or just take it out all together.

Look at it this way, if you start getting ejector hole marks on your brass, it's time to evaluate what you're doing.
