Ejector and Ejector Springs

Ejectors are nice but not necessarily faster, with practice. Your hand is already there to load the ramp. It's really nothing more than a slight move of a finger to pick the empty out in the same motion. There are considerations that factor into doing it well but I would say other factors are more critical. Splitting hairs here. But a well versed shooter, it'd be hard to say one is definitely faster than the other, overall, shot to shot times.

I bought a cheap metal detector to help me find brass . If it's on top of the ground it's loud and clear.

If you are just out target shooting on state land and not in a comp why not just slow down and pull it out of the action by hand? I have ejectors in most of my actions and never eject them unless I'm hunting. I have even shot a repeater action with a DM in F-Class and single feed and remove the case into my hand and into the box it goes with no problem and plenty fast. Or you can just remove the ejector and spring and shoot without it.
