Duplin bi pod question

Those that have these bi pods...did you sand or file the bottom of the ski's? Mine has some rough mill or saw marks on the bottom of the ski's. Does it make a difference in shooting? I haven't used mine yet. I figured smooth would track a little better then rough !!
Thanks

I did not, but you should go for it if desired. It may slide easier if you have sanded the feet smooth and that's a good thing in my book. It makes it easier to reset your position quickly

Mine is ruff too I e-mail them and the reply I got that is the way he makes them. On my citting board they slide all over the place, on my rugg not so much. Is your adjustment spokes razor sharp?

my adjustment spokes are fine.

I fitted teflon tape to my ski's - no reason just thought I would try it...the tape has been on the entire season.

I'm more than happy with my duplin and their support.

Just got a new one and I was wondering the same thing. Mine is pretty rough, and my first session out with it, it was good and bad. It tended to "stick" a little on the thin carpet mat I use, and that made it feel more stable than I'm used to (I'm coming from Open class, where my front rest is fairly slick). It definitely required more effort to steer, but like I said, it stayed put more.

But also it had me concerned about it messing up my NPA. My first thought was to sand it down smooth, but I'm not sure I want to do that yet.
