Rifle stock milling question

Hello forum,
I'm having a new rifle built, I'm using a GSR rifle stock, and will be shooting in the prone postion off a rear rest and Rempel ski bipod.
Here is my question
I am getting a quick release mounting plate for the bi pod. I was thinking of having the stock milled to recess the plate into the stock.. The stock is more of a varmint stock then a bench rest stock and the forearm is not parallel with the barrel channel..
Most pics I've seen online the mounting plate is just bolted on the the stock. Would the rifle track better if the bipod mounting plate was installed / resecssed on the forearm parallel to the barrel channel.
..that way when shooting the ski's are parallel to the barrel and not rocked so there sitting more on the rear of the ski's..
I hope some one understands what I'm trying to ask..thanks

It would look better but you gotta think- does it matter if the skis are not parallel to the barrel? What if youre shooting uphill then next time downhill- do the skis adjust themselves i.e. float on the ground/ pivot on the legs no matter the gun angle? You can inlet it to look the best which is what id do.

Making the feet or ski's of the bipod parallel to the barrel was the best way for me to describe how the bipod would sit once installed ..

Theres no way to keep it parallel with the barrel at anything but one shooting angle. But i believe id get it as straight as possible parallel with the barrel in combination with making the inlet look good if you know what i mean- you may have to fudge one way or another levelwise. I see what you mean now. Would be better if the skis were on a hinge so they would always sit flat on the ground but oh well you gotta go with it

Ah...yes you understand what I'm saying..I guess what I wanted to know is if anyone else has a set up like this , and if is even matters.. Or am I over thinking it..I've shot of many bipods and never gave it any thought until now..let me put it another way..if there was a level sitting on the top of the forearm of the stock and the feet of the bipod were parallel with the top of the forearm( which means the two are parallel with one another should the bi pod mounting plate be recessed to achieve this..or does it not matter....how is that explanation
