DUD Remington 7.5 small rifle bench rest primers

Nothing wrong with the primers you got primer pocket issues. Are you seating them according to feel or depth? You can see the misfired ones are deeper than the fired one
This is my first time reloading I got a buddy that’s been reloading prob over 20 years I’ve been getting my info from him for the most part. I did not uniform the primer pocket. so I guess I need to start pulling

Did you buy the brass already processed or something? How are you seating the primers-what tool?

I'm certainly not trashing your friend, but you also need to get some good books on the basics of reloading and follow them closely. You might want to read up about primer depth while you are at it. Primers should be set firmly against the bottom of the primer pocket. This normally will position the primer just enough below the case rim to prevent "slam fires" or dragging on the bolt. Simply running your finger over a properly seated primer, you should feel a slight depression, not a divot, just enough to feel it. I've been loading for nearly 60 years and the only time I've ever seen primers that far below the case rim was with bad (over cut) primer holes...usually caused by someone 'uniforming" primer pockets with far too much enthusiasm.

I’ll take all the info I can get. So the factory brass I still need to uniform the primer pocket? Cause I didn’t touch the primer pocket

What did the ones that fired look like?

If the primers had expanded towards the edge of the primer pocket, then there's a liklihood that the chamber is more generous in dimension than the brass can handle. In such instances, the round gets pushed to the front of the chamber, fires and the primer immediately backs out to make contact with the bolt face. Once chamber pressure releases or the brass expands, the case comes back to the bolt face, when the primer "rivets" or expands in diameter.

The normal specs for seating a primerare for them to be at least . 002" below flush, up to . 009" below flush. Too high, and the primer may not go off-too much energy is absorbed in seating the primer deeper
That’s what I have found

@Nic Swink , I just scanned the thread and may have missed this question/answer, but did the duds ever get disassembled to verify 1) there was actually powder in them and 2) if the primers in fact failed to ignite? Forgive me if I missed it someplace scanning this over too quickly.
