Drinking is Expensive -- Impulsive Purchases

I was sipping and surfing thru Gunbroker one night and happened upon this gem that was titled Smith & Wesson 22 and was about 30 minutes until the end of the auction that was at $700 at that point, so I put in a bid of $1,000. I ended up with the winning bid at $850, I was very happy at this point. It arrived a few days later and it was nicer than the pictures and I found out that it was engraved by Orville Kuhl in the 1930’s. I sent a picture to a fellow collector of Kuhl engraved S&W’s and he was salivating wanting to own this treasure and I told him it wasn’t for sale and his response was “what’s the I don’t want to sell it price”……. Let say he made a several times over offer is the happy owner of this nice prewar S&W.

Sipping and surfing pays off once in a blue moon…

Mother of All Steals!

Tested it out today. I am happy with it. It raised the rear bag up enough to help me get more comfortable prone, which was the main goal. I put 65 rds down range shooting 5, stand up with the rifle, and build the position again. So nice to fine tune it with the base. It was easy to get a natural point of aim and get it recoiling straight back. The adjustments could be a little smoother.DSC_1854.jpgDSC_1856.jpg
