drawing for mini m16 extractor cut out

Hello,

where can I get a drawing of the cutout needed to install a mini m16 extractor on a rem 700 bolt ?

Thanks
Robert

I bought the extractor from PT&G. They did not have a drawing. wish they had told me about the jig, I would have added it to my order. the pin location is the only thing I'm concerned about..

Thanks
Robert

Badger Ordnance sells an M16 extractor. They have a print and instructions on their website. Dimensions probably aren't exactely the same but it might be helpful.

Thanks,

Just looked at their drawing and some of it seems very different then what
I thought was needed. I haven't heard that the chamber had to be cut ? Parts are here ,but not we are cutting the bolt until I'm sure of the whole operation.
It would be nice to hear from someone who has done this first hand..

Thank you
Robert

Here is a bolt with cut (cut made by kiff) is there any dimensions I could measure for you?

I too have ordered a mini m16 extractor kit from PTG. The e-mail reply for demensions was the extractor is .187 wide. That is all they sent. I replied that I could measure that myself. I wanted to know the depth of cuts and pin hole size and location. Reply back was they have a nda (non-disclosure agreement?) with Remington and they could not give me that information. So, I ordered two bolts with the cut outs for the mini m-16 extractors and made a blueprint myself.
Now the question is: if they won't give the information because they may feel it puts them in a liability situation. How is it that, if they know the measurements, exactly how this is suppose to be done, but won't give out the proper procedure for installation, and something goes wrong, then what is the liability situation?
PTG's products are top notch, and they only place to get many of the things they make, but I've had several misunderstands, wrong parts, over charges, etc. on their part.

It all comes down to liability. PTG wont give you certain dimensions because the cutting is out of their control. Hence they say a qualified gunsmith.

I called, they have no jig. Didn't know what I was talking about. I don't beleive the barrel recess needs to be opened up, like the badger extractor.
