Does any one else find it exasperating ?

Left an e-mail for James at Northland Shooters Supply (NSS) yesterday and received a reply this morning. Have always had communication with Northland also a site sponsor.
James is a pleasure to work with.
I have bought a couple of actions and several pieces, parts and barrels the past couple of years from various sources, no problem I will complain about.

I will start a list of businesses that the members here place in the " great company" catagory! I totally understand that everybody and every company can stumble, but any company that cannot return an e-mail, or phone call (when no e-mail is listed) within a week or two, and after 2 or so attempts, must have enough business that they don't need mine.....We ,or maybe the new generation's have become so accepting of poor service, that they accept it. I watched a news story about the baby formula shortage, and a lady stated" we are not a third world country". Nobody thinks they have stupid kids either....rsbhunter
Please be sure to put Douglas Barrels on that list.
As well as Blue Collar Reloading.
And Northland Shooting Supply.

I will say, I got a reply from Northland almost immediately. He was excellent to deal with, but out of the couple hundred barrels he stocks, he did not have, what I was looking for. I also needed a smith to install it. Douglas failed to respond to 4 emails over 2 months, and at least 3 calls in that same time frame. YMMV

I agree with blue collar reloading...just wish more components were available to them...Always had good prices and excellent service....dealt with NSS years ago and was happy...have heard good things about Douglas....rsbhunter

Just a note, sent a Trijicon Ten mile scope in cause windage witness mark was about halfway between hashmarks...sent 5/9, they recieved on 5/12, recieved return shipping notice 5/18...EXCELLENT service....rsbhunter

These last few posts have reinforced what I've been seeing here for some time. There are more positive posts or remarks about the scope companies than any of the rest. How can the bulk of them keep things running smooth, and some of the rest, components for example, do so poor......

Amen! The projected date for my scope is this Sat. Maybe the scope mfg's realize that you pay big money for their product, therefore feel you deserve to be treated like a valued customer. I just read about a post where a guy bought a custom/ semi custom rifle in 300 cal. FACTORY 212gr loads stick in chamber, and fired cases have to be ejected by pounding on the bolt handle. After sending pictures and an email, they told him that it will "break in" and to shoot it. And he was on the fence about what to do!!!!! I have never sued anybody, or company...but I think I would send them an e mail and ask for the address of the Attorney General in their state.....If you ever get in a wizzing contest with a company,AND you are in the right, try that.....it's amazing how cordial they become.....rsbhunter

It all started when "fast food" wasn't fast anymore. The lack of CS has become the norm and has spread across this country.

For those companies that still do provide the CS that this country was built upon, we should support them without fail. Positive work ethics are instilled into others by people that have them. No one is born with it, unfortunately.

Just an fyi...on Sat, (21st) recieved a BRAND NEW Ten mile scope from Trijicon !!!! 9 days from when they recieved my other one!!!! This is incredible CS. The only thing "wrong" with the original was that the windage/turret marks were off by about half a click.....But, I can see more Ten mile scopes in my future.....In fairness, I did have a Sightron SIII 10-50 scope repaired by Sightron that had been damaged by me, and was fixed and shipped no charge......The scope companies do know how to keep and insure repeat customers... rsbhunter

I know of one company, (not firearms related) that has reduced its employees and then blames the COVID stuff for employee shortages. The owner says fewer employees mean more profit and the product still goes out. Got me to wonder how much that practice is being used all over the country.

nmkid, that does not surprise me at all....I have believed for years....used to be that a business owner made a good living, made good money. Now, they make a life's earnings in 10-15 years, and we pay for it. I understand free enterprise, and the "charge what the market will bear" theory, but when primers, hamburger, etc , quadruple and more in price , I don't think it passes the fish smell test.
???…Here is a picture of a prime rib roast at a local wholesale club....used to be able to buy a refrigerator to put it in at this price!!!! Too large of a file, but the price is $361.xx. For a Prime rib!! rsbhunter

The airlines have that down to a science.

Five bucks says that roast had to been cut up in individual steaks before it sold, it’s getting crazy!
