It is amazing to see the mileage everyone is getting, I have a 2015 F350 6.7 up here in MT., tow a 28' 5th wheel with a 19' boat behind it, ave about 10mpg! With all the 20+ mpg diesel trucks out there all I can say is WOW! I feel I'm pretty straight forward on my mileage when I say I get close to 10mpg when towing, 14mpg in town and 16-17mpg doing 75-80mph on the hwy empty! Can I get 20mpg in my truck, you betcha, but who the hell wants to drive 60-65mph! This is my second diesel over the last 17 years! The ONE point I have failed to read about in here with regards to towing with the 1/2 tons is the STOPPING ability! Now I'm talking about in nasty conditions, sure every 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton gas or diesel will tow it, but you put a little snow and ice on the road towing through passes and hills, good freaking luck when that deer steps out or trouble lies ahead and you need to stop that big load! Just my .02 worth! P.S. I have been doing my shooting as well, just finished load development for my 284, look out boys, there's a new sheriff in town! It's amazing to hear these big mpg numbers![]()
