Do You Lube Before Neck Sizing?

I always do. I use two types of neck dies, a Wilson and a Redding FL S Type neck die. I think that anytime you have metal to metal contact it is best to use a lubricant.

Lube the neck top half only so the lube doesn't get pushed onto the shoulder. Most any lube will work. I wipe the necks first to keep the die clean.

Yep, I size in 2 stages. A small base body die only and then neck size when I prime. I know, sounds like more work but ... thats the way I'm geared ... right now.

I lube both lightly inside and out, then after I trim, I clean the inside with a Q-tip in lacquer thinner, so the bullet gets a good grip on the neck.
