Do you have a Springfield Prodigy?

I don't have one but a co-worker bought one last summer with the 4.25" barrel. Since we live in WA State it shipped with 10rd magazines. These mags didn't fit well and caused numerous stoppages/malfunctions. The ejector broke within 300 rds of firing ball ammo and I believe this was caused by the poorly fit mags.
SA sent a new ejector and once that was installed and new magazines were used it ran just fine.

Bought a new one a couple months ago.
Very happy with it so far. Only have 100+ or so rounds down it. (been working on another project)
4.25 inch comp'd barrel.
The 10 round mags I have seem to work fine.
I'm in a restricted state of 15 rounds, bought the Staccato 126mm 15 round mags and they are working
ok so far.
I like the double stack grip better than a single stack.
Down the road, going to get a trigger job done it. Would like it down to 3-3.5 lb.

I do, it's a 5" with several 1000 124 coated down the pipe w/o a hiccup.

Imma fan....

Its a gateway drug... to spending over $6k on high end 1911s.

Ask how I know this.
I really don't want to get sucked into that vortex. I still have a "race gun" from the 2000's. Built on the original 2011 frame. That'll satisfy my curiosity.

What do you feel you gain with the aluminum grip?
Never held one. See a lot of them out there.

The feeling in the hand is amazing, such positive grip and fit and the extra weight just make the entire gun feel complete. Nothing wrong with the plastic grip but no comparison to the metal one.

I also see Warwick tool makes a metal grip for the prodigy now
