Do you ever......

The last time I shot an AR-15 was over 50 years ago in the Army. It's a good combat rifle, easier to train troops with than the M14 and I've seen some at the local range with match barrels that shoot as good if not better than my custom bolt rifles.

I have nothing against them, it's just not my "cup of tea." The only negative comment I have is not against the rifle but against the shooters that shoot 20+ rounds at a time with flash suppressors making a hell of lot of noise. It's kind of hard for me to engage in precision shooting with someone alongside of you spraying brass at you and making so much noise.

As far as selling guns, oh I've bought and sold my fair share and at times I regretted most of the ones I let go. Now in the winter of my shooting career, I'm comfortable with my current firearms since they meet my needs quite adequately. As the old saying goes, "one spends the first half of one's life accumulating things then the second half trying to get rid of them."

Went thru the AR-15 and AR-10 thing some years back. Even had Robert Whitley build me the 6mmAR that shot exceptionally well accurately. Had fun with them but discovered I liked the bolt gun much better. Sold them and never looked back.

Buy a gun, trick it out just the way you want it, lose interest and sell it?

I just recently bought my first AR15. I have it exactly how I think I want it and now am over it all together. It is just not my thing.
I did the same thing twice!!
Both were AR's.....

Every gun I have ever owned. And about every other 'toy'. Obviously I am not a competition shooter and must have some form of mental disorder never being satisfied with what I have and everything has to be 'modded' to improve it. But I am not crazy because I acknowledge my mental state.

Ashamed to admit, but I once traded a gun only to trade it back from a different seller two years later...and it wasn't anything all that special. Just a Ruger .41 Mag. As to the ones I really should have kept...I don't want to talk about it.

That could be the title of another thread...
THE ONE I SHOULD HAVE KEPT.

Don’t sell it! Put it away. Someday you might come back to it. I put mine away for 5 years, I’m enjoying it again now. Glad I kept it!

Got four safes full of guns that I got "bored" with. Always looking for the next one. Can't bring myself to sell the old ones. Every once in awhile I'll pull out one just to see if she still groups.
