Well it still snowing so here i am. For about a month now i have been chasing a large bag of 9mm brass, it's ready to load and there's a little over a 1000rds there. At this point i have field stripped the house and almost put everything back when it belongs. My wife has been very helpful in telling me when i haven't done so.

Ok, unless i put it under the floor boards of the house, just so i wouldn't lose it of course, it just isn't here. Not a problem, i go down to the storage complex where i have a storage unit made for a motor home, Yep it's that big. It is big enough that it has a loft, a big loft. NEVER, ever get a storage unit with a loft! There is stuff up there i haven't seen in probably fifteen years up there, and whats worse is that i hear sounds from up there from time to time and i'm the only one there.

Now i have field stripped everything on the ground floor and found a couple of .22's (a Jennings pistol and a Remington field master pump) i had forgotten about over the years but no bag of 9mm brass. this is bad, ... the only thing left is THE loft. Maybe i could just pay the boy scouts to go up and look, but what happens if i lose one or two of them up there? How do you explain that?

Rather than go up there, i think i will just wait until our spring gun show and get another bag, yes that's the answer, just get an other bag! I don't really need to go up there and look, besides it's been many years since i have been up there so i don't need what ever is up there right now anyway.

Sounds like its time to cut ties with that investment- if you havent seen whats up there in 15yrs you dont need it and its time to let storage wars come in and see whats up there :p

How can this be bad, you don't have to wait for the gun show. UPS or USPS will bring brass to your house in just a few days. You can load the new brass and the old bag will show up in about a day or maybe 2. Then you will have 2000 pcs of 9mm brass. So when you order brass get another 1000 9mm bullets. In the end you will wind up with 2000 pcs of 9mm ammo made just the way you want it. Why are you worrying, this was they way it was intended to be, you knew you needed at least 2000 9mms.

There is a great abyss that all lost items go to. I know it exists. Seems like I have lost enough stuff to fill a barn and have no idea where things go. I probably have bought 500 screwdrivers over the years and usually can't find one. I have lost large and small items that I know weren't stolen (I keep everything locked up) and still will never see them again in this lifetime. Sometimes it just easier to buy something new than look for something you know you have. And the Jennings 22. I still have mine (I think) in the gun safe. Was a gift and had it since the 70's. Only firearm I ever had that went full auto just by releasing the slide and no finger on the trigger. Only did it once though.

That loft is calling your name! It's going to bug you until you find it! I know because I've been there! It will haunt your sleep and your every waking moment hehe

People claim that there are only two certainties in life: Death & Taxes. BUT, I know better. there are two certainties, 1. You can keep an extra whatever around for years and years and never need it, but as soon as you throw it away, you'll need it. and 2. When you misplace something and can't find it, no matter how hard or long you look; as soon as you give up the search and buy a replacement, you'll find the original lost item. And that's a fact.

Uncle Uncle, i give up you guys made me just spill my cranberry juice on the key board! Yes i have to go up there, but i ain't going up there with just a Jennings .22 that didn't shoot when it was new. I know i should just buy more brass cuz that does always make the original brass show up again but it's the fact that i out smarted my self by putting it where ever the heck it is.

one nice thing; 9mm brass is very cheap and plentiful these days...
The March Dillon Blue Press has once-fired 9mm brass on page 42 for $36.95. If, you can get past the pretty young lady in the white bustierre (sp?) holding a fully engraved 1st gen Colt on the cover.

You mean the Blue Press opens up! Who knew???? LOL

Just tell your wife you’re thinking of throwing some of your brass out, she’ll find every piece of it for you. LOL
