Do you clean brass every loading?

As long as they don't fall on the ground and get dirt in them I run them till they need cleaning.

After trying most idea's to clean the outside of necks I came up with creme bathroom cleaner, squirt some on a rag, twist the neck a couple of times, all gone. Tumble to get rid of the residue.

I quit tumbling almost 20 years ago, its to much work and all it does is beat up necks. I do de prime and wash every time though. I use two plastic coffee cans, one for wash one for rinse. I bring one quart of water to a boil in the microwave and pour it into a plastic coffee which I have put a spoon full of lemi shine. Its one of those plastic spoons you get free when you buy a hot dog for the relish. Add the brass to the hot water snap the lid on and let it soak. After the water is cool I take a Q tip and swirl the primer pocket and move to the empty rinse bucket. Then put them back in the lemi shine water and swirl a little bit with my finger tips to wash out the primer pockets. Then two clean water rinses shake out and let dry. This is what the old guys around here started doing when they got tired of the corn cob walnut shell cleaning so I tried it. Haven't plugged one of my tumblers in for a long time.

One old service rifle shooter would bring his brass home from a match de prime and boil it in water on the stove top. He said along with cleaning he never annealed. I don't know about that one but he did shoot good scores and his brass lasted forever.

I still tumble mine every few loadings and always prep them on my RCBS prep station. Other times in between I wipe them down with a cloth and the imperial wax as I size them/
