Mozilla,WHAT? I have Butch's, but I also have at least 17 other bore cleaners. I thought it took an entire array of chemicals and mystery juice to be considered a real rifleman. Otherwise, visitors to your gun room will think you're a FNG, and who wants that?
I rotate through my collection, often using three or four different kinds each time I clean a gun in a desperate search to find Nirvana.
I'm not sure if all of them actually work or none of them. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be?

Boretech Eliminator.
Yep! Regular and the Hoppes BR both die at a half bottle. If it's not clean after a few patches and some brushing I let it soak overnight with Hoppes BR. Never had any carbon problems after soaking overnight with Hoppes every now and then. Still good stuff. You know I have kind of gone full circle and ended up back at Hoppe's #9. Its cheap and it is mild enough to not harm finishes or steel, and it leaves a nice oil film behind. I think Butches is my favorite, but it seems to loose its effectiveness after being opened. Seems like when the bottle is new its the best, when its about 1/2 gone its sucks. Anyone else notice that?
