Discrepancy in load book?

Hey guys,
Quick question about the Hornady Reloading Handbook 9th Edition.

On page 71, in the last paragragh on the page, it says, "All testing of this reloading data was done at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

However on page 75, in the paragragh labeled, "Correction Factors"; it says, "All ballistic coefficients and ballistics tables in this book have been adjusted to standard conditions. Altitude=sea level. Temperature=59 degrees Fahrenheit. Atmospheric pressure=29.53" of Hg. Relative humidity=78%."

The book then goes on in the following pages to explain how to mathematically adjust BCs according to temperature, and pressure.

I guess my question is; do i need to perform the proper calculation on the provided BCs to get the actual test data or have they already done that and adjusted down to 59⁰ after testing at 70⁰?

Thanks in advance.

I believe they mean they their pressure test data was collected at 70 degrees. Most sources show ballistic coefficients and the related ballistic charts displayed for 59 degrees at sea level. Two different sets of parameters being accounted for.

Apples and oranges. One should use ANY manual as a tool NOT the Bible.Just my two cents Tommy Mc
