Dillon XL650 VS 1050?

I got a 650 twenty years ago or so. It worked the first time out of the box which was amazing to me, and it has worked without fail since. Extra tool heads with dies and powder measures ready to too . case feeder with plates. For pistol ammo the Lee Factory Carbide Crimper removed the "coke bottle" profile and the loaded ammo gauges perfectly.

I load 400 rounds and then take a break, reload the primer pickup tubes and do another 400. Never got to the point where the automatic primer tube filler was really needed in terms of volume. Since I only load for myself the 650 does everything I need at a lower start price with the gradual addition of the accessories budget allowed.

Over the last pretty much fifty years I've bought a lot of reloading stuff. I have a cabinet full of stuff that works but stays in the cabinet because on the bench is where I keep the stuff that works a lot better, the keepers. The 650 is a keeper. Since I don't use military brass, I don't need a primer pocket swaging station so a 1050 at the higher initial cost doesn't make sense in my case.
