Oddball calibers: no ammo shortage here

Conventional wisdom says we should own common/military chamberings so ammo supply will not be much of an issue and I generally agree. But at least in my area the opposite is going on. Stores are completely cleaned out of 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Mag, 45 ACP, .223, .308 etc. Stuff like 7X57, .41 Mag, etc are easy to get. Anyone else seeing this?

Yes. I've seen ammo like 243, 270 & 32 Win Special on the shelves, but none of the calibers you mentioned.

If ever there was a time to build a .270 or .25 cal rifle, then now is it, local gun stores still have those bullets on the shelf with the same dust from '93.

The local Walmart is loaded with 7mm mag and 300 win mag occasionally 22-250 and .243 but only in the $40 copper.
