Dillion rl1100 / mark 7 problems

Is anyone using a Dillon rl1100 with auto drive from mark 7 ? I am having nothing but problems with it . Attached is some issues I am having . I know it’s blurry but sometimes the round gets stuck at the eject finger or it shoots out .

Adjust the angle of the case ejector.

Lower it to within a hair of the shell plate.

If it still gives you fits, slightly bend the tip of the ejector closer to the case so it starts moving the case sooner.

How fast are you running your machine? I have found a sweet spot around 2,000 cases per hour and a 1 delay at the top for 223 and no delay for handgun calibers.

I am only running 1,000 per hr . I don’t have a delay for pistols . I feel I can’t get past 1,000 hr to work my way higher .

That bolt holding the tab on also looks loose maybe at a minimum the tab is bent? Either way, like hoser said, the tab needs bent back and adjusted. You could also order a new tab and match the angle and then have a spare.

Take a picture from the top down if you can and post it.

One great thing about Dillon is when I have called them they're not scared to tell you to adjust or bend something to get it back in time , one guy told me it's your machine now and you can do whatever it takes.... If you go to far they will replace it free that's why I call first before doing something that's not easy put back like it was or I might possibly break.... You can't set up a machine for everything exactly perfect in the short amount of time they spend after initial build and before shipping.... Anybody who owns a MEC9000gn will tell you this... You will learn how to work on and adjust everything before it's up and running 100 percent... My Dillon was a ton easier to get into tune and running for sure but there was still things that needed to be adjusted.... As one poster said it can be as easy as adjusting the ejection wire up or down depending on the cartridge... I suggest manually running the machine or slowing it WAY down so you can see everything when it's running... One thing I have noticed is they almost always ask if I have some of the internet ( fixes ) which I don't because after adjusting it it runs fine.... You shouldn't have to apply something the machine doesn't have it should run as Dillon made it and if it doesn't call them....

When I first bought the press it was set up for 223 , everything ran perfect when I did it manually. Once I got the auto drive and switch to 9mm I started having problems . It’s probably something I did that’s out of tune . I am gonna try what everyone said first before I call Dillion. And yes the mec 9000 does suck to set but I have one as well

Here is how mine is bent/setup if this helps give a starting point. Make sure it's flat along the press interface, and the tab is bent forward and doesn't hit the locating pin. Pardon the filth, I'm behind on processing. Haha.
