My Mitutoyo absolute digital caliper started switching from inches to mm while using it. Anyone else run into this situation ?
This ^^^^^^^^^. Mine or a few of them have batteries. When the display gets hard to read change the battery also. I keep spare batteries on hand for them all the time now.Changed the battery in mine and problem solved.
I have the standard and of my 3 different digital calipers these are the most accurate.looking at this caliper: https://www.amazon.com/Mitutoyo-500...&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583451663485867&th=1
$115. Standard or $165. With Certificate of Traceability to NIST.
Can someone educate me on what the difference is? Is the standard model going to be adequate for normal reloading use?
I've finally transitioned over to the dial type, and put my old veneers away. As far as embracing digitals -- I just don't know. Maybe someday after I instal indoor pluming.I used the digital for a few years.
Got to the point where I didn't always trust them.
Switched over to a set of Brown & Sharpe dial calipers.
Love em!!
It sure would be better if we converted all our shooting stuff to metric.
those cals are not quite as good as the 500-752-20 which I prefer, digimatics I don't think have auto shutoff, and the fit and finish is not like the absolute's but they will work good, ebay has those for 50.00 used like new, just watch for fakes, digimatics will get the job donelooking at this caliper: https://www.amazon.com/Mitutoyo-500...&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583451663485867&th=1
