difference between6br 6brx 6xc

what is the difference between the 6br,6brx,6xc &the rest of the 6mm alphabet?IN THE REAL WORLD,not just theory!confused on chamber for next project, have all partsbut no chamber

It would take a book to show and describe ALL of the various 6mm Cartridges in use now and in the past.

In general, most have the standard 308W Base. The differences lie in the case body. Different body lengths, different shoulder angles, different neck lengths, different body taper, different case length. Get the idea?

That would take another book.

I don't think you realize how many different 6mm competition cartridges are out there. If you want to narrow it down to comparing a couple, someone can probably give you ballistics out of their rifle. Shooters like nothing better than talking about their pet cartridge.

But if want info on 'the rest of the 6mm alphabet' that's asking a lot.

The 6mmBR Home Page is not a book but there is a wealth of information there. That's a good start.

with a 28' barrel I would go with a 243 AI and the 115 D-Tac IMR-7828ssc.. 2950 to 3050 fps easy with a nice long, slow pressure curve.
